'Sense of Self' portrait
is intended to record the person you really are;
You
call the shots. You choose where, when, what and why - and Michael does
the rest.
Michael Thorne has been photographing 'Sense of Self' portraits since 1993 as part of an annual photographic exhibition with the help of the University of Canberra Member Services and Trendsetting Pty Ltd.
The annual exhibitions have featured women of all ages in images of their own choosing; the women choose their own ideas, choose the locations, choose the props, choose what to wear, what make-up to have and choose what mood to portray.
Michael advises; he does not direct. His role is that of technician - fine tuning the idea to produce a professional and balanced photographic image via the lens or darkroom.
